About Us

Our Story

What started as a small cookout in 2010 has grown into New Jersey’s biggest celebration of Caribbean culture. In 2019, the New Jersey Jerk Festival officially launched as a public event and has continued to expand each year. After returning strong in 2023, the festival now attracts thousands eager to enjoy great food, music and community.

Our Mission

To honor Caribbean heritage through food, music and art while creating opportunities for small businesses and bringing families together.

Our Vision

To build the tri-state’s most impactful cultural festival, reaching new audiences, supporting local vendors and celebrating the beauty of Caribbean traditions.

Our Community

The festival brings together Caribbean families, African American communities and culture lovers from across the tri-state area.

Our Team

The New Jersey Jerk Festival is brought to life by a dedicated team who work year-round to plan, organize and execute every detail. Their combined efforts ensure the festival runs smoothly and creates an unforgettable experience for attendees, vendors and partners.
